How Corrupt is Howard Kaloogian?

Running for the House in California is a man named Howard Kaloogian. If there was ever a better example of a Rubber-Stamp Republican, I couldn't tell ya.

On his Web site, he posts the following (Mirrored):

We took this photo of dowtown Baghdad while we were in Iraq. Iraq (including Baghdad) is much more calm and stable than what many people believe it to be. But, each day the news media finds any violence occurring in the country and screams and shouts about it - in part because many journalists are opposed to the U.S. effort to fight terrorism.

Well, the liberal blogosphere found this very curious. Most identified this not as a picture in Baghdad, but Turkey! Look at the woman's spaghetti-strap top, look at the signage.

How can you vote for a man who claims that the "liberal media" is lying to you about how bad off Baghdad is -- then supports this by showing a picture of TURKEY!

These frickin' people disgust me.

Update! Kaloogian has replaced the photo with an actual picture of Baghdad. Here now, his new example of how Baghdad isn't as bad as people say it is:

Wow! Look how close he got! Look at the people! Surely, this pic was taken from the confines of military security. He has actually discredited his case. HAHAH. Amazing stupidity.
